The links between our two disciplines are obvious. Traditionally, the trades between calligraphers and bookbinders took the form of a book. We wanted to go beyond and look for deeper commonalities in our respective creations. The concept of two French words "trace et tracé " (trace and track) was derived from our first discussions and they became a great source of inspiration thanks to its rich definitions, both conventional and spiritual. There, guided by our desire to reinvent traditional techniques, came two artists’ books, in which you will discover calligraphy and book-binding in a completely innovative way.
