Indigo and Lacquer are both vegetal colored coatings that protect objects. However, as time passes by, the coating comes off slowly but certainly. Our collaboration explores the idea of physics,‘ENTROPY’: the irreversible transformation of matter at one specific temperature / moment. Yohko creates a pair of black lacquered objects, concave and convex. They have cracks as if they were born by expanding and contracting forces. Anaïs creates a set of indigo dyed jackets which color has been altered by time and light.
Sophisticated yet unfinished , they invite to see and feel impermanence.
